Why join CSF?

Communication is an art, that is essential not to survive but to excel in professional and personal life. The art of communicating one’s ideas, thoughts is rated among the top skills needed in any job.
Do you know, 3 out of every 4 students graduating out of college in India is not job-ready! Confederation of Indian Industry calls this as the Great Indian Talent Conundrum, so much of manpower but not job-worthy. The main reason attributed for the current situation is the lack of communication skills.
Speaking in front of a room full of people is not most people’s idea of a good time! In fact, studies indicate that 3 out of 4 people around the world fear public speaking. That makes public speaking humanity’s most commonly held fear – even surpassing fear of dying. Overcoming that fear by learning how to organize and present a speech accurately, with clarity and confidence can be both personally and professionally rewarding and quite enjoyable when done in a friendly, supportive environment. A Toastmasters’ club is just that – a friendly, supportive place to learn and practice public speaking and leadership skills.
In CSF (this is what we are fondly called as) we offer you a safe platform to learn, practise and enrich your communication skills. We have a diverse member base ranging from college students to mid and senior level Corporate professionals.Whether you are a professional, student, stay-at-home parent or retiree, Toastmasters is the most efficient, enjoyable and affordable way of gaining great communication and leadership skills. Anjaly works as a Data Migration Engineer

I’m new to Chennai and recently joined Chargebee as Data Migration Engineer.

Chargebee values English Communication as important as other skills and as a Malayali, I do have Malayalam+English accent. One of my Colleague suggested joining a Toastmasters club to improve my accent. I started visiting multiple Toastmasters club around Chennai and on January 1st week I visited Chennai Speakers Forum. My intention was to improve my communication skill but when I met all the club members, I was impressed. The simplicity of all the members and the disciplined way of organizing everything convinced me very much and on the same day itself without any hesitation, I became a member of Chennai Speakers Forum.

I’m sure that Chennai Speakers Forum is a place where you will learn all about English and also improve your personality. I’m very happy to be a part of this family.

Nikhita Mandava

Nikhita is working in Accenture

Toastmasters was introduced to me by a friend of mine. Being completely new to this area where it is all about public speaking i had mixed thoughts.I was invited for one of the guest lectures to get an insight about how the meeting goes . Everyone in the meeting were very cheerful and outwarded which made me feel good. I liked the structure of the meeting and the way it went further. I genuinely felt this would be a great platform to over come my fear of the stage, to speak to a larger audience .Hence, a start to my journey in toastmasters.
